Who we are
Nudgee (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by WinWin Innovation Services, registered in India. The Service turns saved Instagram posts and reels into scheduled action reminders. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how to delete it. Contact: hello@nudge-e.com.
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, and profile photo, provided by Google or Apple when you sign in via OAuth.
- Username — a public handle you set inside the app.
- Saved content — Instagram URLs you save into Nudgee, plus any notes, reminders, or edits you make to those items.
- Preferences — notification settings, quiet hours, timezone, theme mode.
- Support correspondence — messages you send to hello@nudge-e.com.
Information collected automatically
- Device + diagnostic information — device model, OS version, app version, anonymized crash reports, and performance traces.
- Usage information — counts of items saved, items completed, reviews, and similar telemetry tied to your account.
- Subscription state — when you purchase a Premium subscription, we receive transaction identifiers, product identifiers, renewal status, and entitlement flags from Apple via our processor RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple processes those.
We do not collect: precise location, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, browsing history, or any cross-app tracking identifiers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information from third parties
- Instagram metadata — when you save an Instagram URL, we fetch publicly available metadata (caption, thumbnail, transcript of public reels) via Apify. We do not access your Instagram account.
- AI-classified content — saved content is sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for categorisation, summarisation, and notes / recipe extraction.
How we use your information
- Operate the Service — store your saved content, schedule reminders, run the classification pipeline.
- Send local OS notifications at the times you've chosen. Reminders fire on your device; we do not push reminders from our servers.
- Enforce daily save limits and bulk-import quotas to protect the Service from abuse and runaway costs.
- Process subscription purchases and entitlement state, via Apple and RevenueCat.
- Diagnose crashes via Sentry (your email is scrubbed before transmission; an anonymized identifier is retained for crash correlation).
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising in the app and do not share your data with advertisers.
Lawful basis (where applicable)
For users in India, we process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Where European, UK, or comparable privacy law applies, we process personal information on these grounds:
- Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Consent — for OS-level notification permission (you can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings).
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.
Sub-processors and third-party services
We share information with the following sub-processors, each bound by appropriate data-protection terms:
- Supabase (Amazon AWS) — account database, authentication, file storage. Stores all account data.
- Apple Inc. — app distribution, subscription billing, OS notifications. Receives Apple ID and subscription transaction data.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription receipt validation and entitlement management. Receives an anonymized account identifier and subscription transaction data.
- Apify Technologies — public Instagram metadata extraction. Receives Instagram URLs you save (public content only).
- OpenAI, L.L.C. — AI classification. Receives saved item caption, transcript, metadata. Per OpenAI's API policy, content sent through the API is not used to train their models.
- Anthropic, PBC — AI classification. Receives saved item caption, transcript, metadata.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — crash and error monitoring. Receives device + crash diagnostics; user email is scrubbed before transmission.
- Google LLC — sign-in (when you choose Google OAuth). Sees OAuth identifiers and profile basics.
Data retention
- Active accounts — we retain your saved content and account data for as long as your account is active.
- Archived / Trash saves — items you manually move to Archive or Trash are permanently deleted after 7 days. There is no automatic archiving by age.
- Subscription records — transaction logs are retained for 7 years to comply with tax and audit requirements.
- Crash reports — typically 90 days at the Sentry processor.
- Account deletion — see below.
How to protect your data
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted over TLS.
- Server-side, every query is constrained at the database level so a signed-in user can only ever read or write their own rows.
- Authentication is OAuth-based; we never store passwords.
- No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
International transfers
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, primarily in the Asia Pacific region. AI provider calls may transit to processors in the United States. Where data transfers cross borders, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other safeguards permitted by applicable law.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@nudge-e.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — update inaccurate information inside the app.
- Delete your account — Settings → Account → Delete Account immediately removes everything. Irreversible.
- Lodge a complaint — with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@nudge-e.com with your request and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
